Afghanistan: E-11A plane crashes

The area is under Taliban control

A Bombardier Global Express E-11A aircraft, registration 11-9350, crashed today in Afghanistan, in the province of Ghazni. The accident occurred in the Deh Yak district where the aircraft caught fire due to technical problems. Initially, according to the "BBC", it was communicated that the aircraft belonged to the carrier Ariana Afghan Airlines, which however denied that it was the airline operating the flight.

It appears that the charred pilot was pulled from the plane by the local population. There is still no certain information about the victims: according to the officials at the take-off airport in Herat, there were 110 people on board the E-11A, while according to Afghan deputy Arif Rahmani there would be 15 dead. The crash zone is under Taliban control.
