In Russia approved the project of a super heavy rocket

It will be launched from the "Vostochny" cosmodrome in 2028

In Russia a super heavy class carrier rocket will be used to perform flights on the Moon. The first launch is scheduled for 2028 from the "Vostochny" cosmodrome.

The technical-scientific council of the Progress Rocket and Space Center met to examine the "LV STK" rocket project. Spatial research and development representatives attended the meeting, including the Russian agency "Roscosmos State Corporation".

The preliminary project with an illustration of the technical characteristics was presented by Aleksandr Cherevan, chief designer of the launch vehicle for the "Soyuz-5" mission. After a comparative analysis of the aspects of the system, the verification of compliance with the tactical and security requirements, the participants approved the plan.
