Su-57 aircraft: first deliveries in 2019

According to a note released today on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Sukhoi (born in 1939 as Sukhoi Design Bureau), which confirmed the start of mass production of Su-57 fighter airplanes, the first batch of units will be delivered by 2019 ordered by the Defense of Moscow. "During its history Sukhoi has created more than 100 types of aircraft, the total number of mass-produced airplanes has exceeded 12,000 units. With these aircraft, around 70 world records have been established, and of this production over 2600 units "Su-" have been exported to 42 countries around the world. The fleet of airplanes currently in service with the first line tactical aviation of the Russian air space forces is composed almost entirely of Sukhoi models: Su-24, Su-25, Su-35S, Su-34, Su-30SM. Official sources had already announced at the end of June about the start of mass production of the model, given a long-term contract with the Ministry of Defense for the supply of 76 Su-57 fighters. Of these hours the confirmation, according to the head of the United Aircraft Building Corporation, Yuri Slyusar -that by the end of 2019 the first batch of 12 units will be delivered, which will become operational within the year. Putin himself had previously underlined the need for the three aviation regiments (Air Force, Army and Navy) of the VKS (Vozdushno-Kosmicheskiye Sily, or the Russian Aerospace Forces, aerospace forces comprising the Air Force, part of the Russian Armed forces) were equipped as soon as possible with new aircraft, specifically the Su-57s, also known as Pak FA or T-50, a single-seater multi-role fighter with stealth features, developed by Sukhoi for Russian Air Forces. An aircraft that flew for the first time in 2010, the result of the "combination of high maneuverability, ability to perform supersonic flights, advanced on-board equipment, low traceability to radar and stealth ability": factors that according to the developers constitute the superiority of Su -57 compared to competitors.
