F-35 airplane FACO in Cameri (Novara) made its maiden flight at vertical take off
Rome, Italy - In the variant STOVL
During the flight, a test pilot carried out perfectly all operations in STOVL (Short TakeOff/Vertical Landing) modality, included hovering on the landing runway, reaching another milestone for the F-35 program in Italy. The pilots will make other tests, before official delivery of the BL-1 aircraft destined to the Italian Armed Forces.
