Airbus delays the delivery of 12 A-380 airplanes to Emirates

Toulouse, France - The European manufacturer is obliged to adapt its schedule to the airline and RR’s Trent 900 engines

Airbus is obliged to a one-year delay in the delivery of its 12 A-380 aircraft to Emirates. The manufacturer changed its delivery schedule postponing 6 planes from 2017 to 2018, and other 6 ones from 2018 to 2019. The reason can be probably found in the necessity to adapt at the time required to optimize the Trent 900 engines made by Rolls Royce (RR). Emirates already has A-380s, but with GP7000 engines...
