Madrid, Spain - It is planned in the week-end lead to May, 1, 2005

Spanish Airport staff announced 48-hour strike which has been planned in May, 1st, in order to protest against new contracts. A spokesman for one of Spain’s leading unions, Ugt, said it had called 14,000 workers to strike over the May 1st weekend, when many cities including Madrid have public holidays, as new contracts could harm workers’ rights.
