Lufthansa to purchase 11 aircraft BAe for regional carriers
Berlin, Germany - Of which six are destined to Eurowings and five to Air Dolomiti
Lufthansa signed a deal with Britain’s BAe to purchase 11 BAe-146-300s regional jets to add to the fleets of the German firm’s regional airlines. Six of these aircraft are destined to Eurowings and five to Air Dolomiti. The purchases will make Lufthansa’s regional airlines the biggest operators of BAe’s 146-300 aircraft with a fleet of 37. The company stopped production of the aircraft in 2003.
