Brazilian court dismisses Vasp management
Brasilia, Brazil - By appointing the Government to administer the carrier for the next 12 months
The judge Lucio Pereira de Souza of the Court of S. Paulo (Brazil) dismissed Vasp management; the carrier represented until late the fourth largest airline. Vasp has been under financial pressure since 1999 when Brazil devalued its currency by leaving the company into heavy financial losses.
