Washington, USA - US Navy is planning to reduce costs: minor passenger capacity, range and speed for the "Marine One"
The new generation of presidential helicopters is going to replace the older fleet, currently composed by 11 VH-3D, dated 1975 and 8 VH-60 N, dated 1989. Both models are produced by American company Sikorsky. VH-3D length is 72 ft (about 22 metres) with an overall height of 16 ft (5m) and they reach a maximum cruise speed of 118 knots.
