Cathay Pacific earnings up in the second part of the financial year
Beijing, China - The carrier reported a 4,3 percent rise

Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways announced that earnings increased 4,3 percent in the second part of the financial year 2004-2005 mainly due to a growth in demand which allowed the carrier to offset high fuel costs. The carrier warned however that rebounding crude oil prices and competition from Singapore-based Jetstar Asia and Malaysia’s AirAsia obscure predictions for 2005.
