The B-214ST is the largest variant of the popular twin-engine helicopter family produced by Bell. It was developed in the late 1970s as a military helicopter for Iran, but only 96 were ever built. Compared to the Bell 212, it has a maximum takeoff weight of about 17,500 pounds instead of the traditional 11,000. Bell currently uses the aircraft as a vehicle for testing of components for new aircraft...
