Eight airborne troopers have died while trying to fight a forest fire. The team was assigned to fight fires in the Tuva republic, Southern Siberia. The eight troopers were part of team of 14 from the Tuva air base. The team was trying to put out a 500 hectare forest fire. Trapped by flames, six of them managed to escape, but the others perished due to the smoke and high temperatures before help...
