The 20-million-dollar first Chinese aircraft carrier, built in Russia and purchased by Beijing from Ukraine in 1998, departed today from Delian harbour for its maiden flight. The boat -named "Varyag" by Soviets, falls within "Admiral Kuznetsov" class and it's able to carry 26 planes and 24 helicopters.
