The Turbomeca (Safran group) Arriel 2D engine, with a take-off power of 950 shp, has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The Arriel 2D will power the Eurocopter AS-350B3e helicopter. The first engines entry into service is scheduled in the second half of 2011.
