Alitalia: EU Commission's doubts on the business plan

Brussels, Belgium - Commissioner for Transport Barrot would not have excluded the possibility of finding infractions for the carrier's recapitalization

European Commission is coming to grips with the assessment of the Alitalia's business plan 2005-2008 with reference to its legitimacy compared with EU's ruling on state aids. It seems now that Commissioner for Transport, Jacques Barrot, is not going to report a final decision on next January 19, but simply the start of a detailed investigation on the restructuring plan of the carrier.
