Firefighting aircraft crash in Greece, pilot killed

Argostoli, Greece - It was in service on the Ionian island of Kefalonia

A PZL-Mielec M-18 Dromader firefighting aircraft crashed today in Greece while it was in service trying to fight a fire in a southern area of the Ionian island of Kefalonia. The pilot, 55-year-old Stergios Kotoulas, has been killed in the accident. When the rescue helicopter managed to recover his body it was already too late.
