Air France (4): "The plane might have been struck by lightning"

According to Francois Brousse, Air France's head of communications, the Airbus A-330 that went missing this morning might have been hit by a lightning. This would explain the short circuit and the electrical issues reported by the crew after passing an area of heavy turbulence (see AVIONEWS). On board there were 12 crewmembers and 216 passengers. Among them there should have been 126 men, 82 women...
