Atlantis shuttle's heat shield damaged

Cape Canaveral, USA - NASA says it is a minor issue

A debris impact during lift off is supposed to have caused the heat shield damage, a 53 centimeter crack, on the Atlantis shuttle. NASA, after a photographic inspection of the hit area, stated that the spacecraft is out of danger allowing the prosecution of STS-125 mission to Hubble space telescope.
