Chile to buy eighteen F-16 from Holland

Chile is about to sign a purchase contract for eighteen F-16 fighters from the Netherlands. Santiago's minister of defense Francisco Vidal announced it. "The deal is closed, only the signatures are missing", he stated, even if Amsterdam denies that an agreement has already been reached. The contract value should be of about $278 million. The new aircraft will take place of aging Chilean Air Force F-5s....
