Heathrow Airport, the decision on the third runway in January
London, United Kingdom - Still not wane the idea for a new airport
Postponed in January 2009 the decision by the British Government about the realization of the third runway for the airport of London-Heathrow. Its construction, blocked by activists and residents, would provoke the demolition of Sipson village, included 700 houses. The London's Mayor aims at the possibility to create a new airport on the Thames Estuary (read AVIONEWS).
