British Airways purchases the French airline L'Avion
London, United Kingdom - A deal worth 54 million pounds
L'Avion, French private airline with a fleet of two Boeing aircraft in configuration of Business Class operating on the route from Paris-Orly to New York-Newark, was purchased by British Airways for 54 million pounds. The transaction will be completed by this month. The British Airways plans intend to transform L'Avion in a subsidiary carrier and integrate it to the new OpenSkies.
