Antonio Tajani new EU Commissioner of Transport

Strasbourg, France - He will replace Jacques Barrot

Antonio Tajani, EC vice-President (see for details AVIONEWS), has been appointed new EU Commissioner of Transport, with 507 ayes. Among the members of European Parliament, 64 abstained and 53 opposing judgements. Tajani will replace French Jacques Barrot, appointed Commissioner of Justice, Freedom and Safety.
