MI-8 helicopter crashes in Pamir

Dushanbe, Tajikistan - 11 alpine climbers on board; pilot dead, five injured

A helicopter has crashed in the last weeks, but the news has been unveiled only today, in Ghund Valley, near the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan. On board there were 11 alpine climbers, crew and an interpreter, all of European nationality. One of the pilots dead; two crewmembers, two climbers and the interpreter wounded in the impact. MI-8 built by Russian MIL was taken off from Shugnan...
