EU: the surcharges applied to the baggages are illegal

Brussels, Belgium - The statement of the Community Institutions

According to the Community Institutions the surcharges that the low-cost airlines apply to the baggages are illegal. "The transport of baggage following the voyager is part of the travel contract". The no-frills carriers are today in the sight of European Union after the inquiry of the EU commissioner for the consumer protection, Meglena Kuneva.
