Aircraft misses runway, flights stop at Heathrow

"British Airways BA-38 flight arriving from Beijing carried out an emergency landing at 12:42pm. The Heathrow southern runway has been closed, but the northern runway remains open". This is what a release of the airport authorities in Heathrow reported, as arrivals and departures were temporarily halted. The airplane missed the landing manoeuvre, ending at various dozens meters outside the runway...
