An MQ-1 Predator UAV - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle hooks up to be taxied for maintenance after a May 17 mission at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The Predator provides armed reconnaissance, airborne surveillance and target acquisition for coalition forces. The Predator UAV's primary mission is interdiction and conducting armed reconnaissance against critical and perishable targets.
