Washington, US - AirTran bid USD 87.6 m to control Midway airport activities

ATA Airlines has asserted that last Tuesday have filed for protection under "Chapter 11". The company emphasized that it will continue business as usual while it develop a financial plan of reorganization. In conjuction with the filing the airlines has reached an agreement with AirTran Airways in which AirTran will pay USD 87.6 m to assume Ata's flight operations, gate lease, and routes in Chicago...
