US Airways: wage curtailed by 21 per cent

The Bankruptcy Court after the USD 1bn loan extension approval (see AVIONEWS), approved the US Airways requests to cut wage and benefit of its workers. It has been approved a 21 per cent reduction for thousands US carrier dependant pay: from pilots to flight assistants until mechanics. The airline aims to reduce expenses by USD 950m a year and to turn into a low-cost carrier. But at meantime unions...
