Olympic Airlines: cabin crew on strike

Athene, Greece - It has been fixed for next week the strike by the Olympic Airlines' cabin crew

Cabin crew of the Greek State carrier announced a 48 hour strike because of the failure by the management in approving a two-year wage deal. The request came out just when the government was trying to find some buyers for the carrier which is in financing difficulties (see AVIONEWS). The Union declared that the strike would start on October 16 and 17.
