South African Airways: the first Airbus A-319 has arrived

Johannesburg, South Africa - Other 10 aircraft of the same type and 15 A-320s have already been ordered by the carrier

Airbus has recently delivered the first of the 11 A-319 ordered by South African Airways. Such airplanes will be deployed in order to replace too old aircraft, and they will be used for the major domestic routes and as regional jets. SAA has also ordered some 15 Airbus A-320s, so reinforcing the presence of the European aerospace group's aircraft within its own fleet, which also comprises the A-340/600s...
