Melbourne, Australia - It happened last night because of some sparks from the left engine

A Singapore Airlines B-777/300 with 278 passengers and 21 crew members last night has been forced to make an emergency landing at Melbourne Airport. Aircraft discharged some of its fuel in Port Philip Bay and returned to Melbourne, after its travellers noticed some sparks from left engine. The flight problems would be to impute to engine surge which caused an overheat of the left-hand during take off...
