The second day of the G7 ministerial meeting opens today with a discussion on Ukraine in the presence of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

The work will then continue with a focus on the Indo-Pacific, a strategic area for global security and exchanges. Foreign ministers from important Asian countries such as South Korea, India, Indonesia and the Philippines will be present. In particular, the discussion will focus on how to ensure the defense of the international order and how to deepen cooperation and connectivity to promote regional and global prosperity.

The work will then focus on regional issues, with particular attention to the partnership with Africa and crisis situations such as Haiti and Venezuela. “The work agenda confirms the attention that we, as G7 Presidency, are giving to trying to resolve the numerous international crises. With the invited partners, we are working to protect the common multilateral system, to guarantee global peace and prosperity by keeping the dialogue open with all the actors involved", concluded Minister Tajani.
