The Polish Defense Minister, Mariusz Blaszczak, has ordered the dispatch of additional military groups to the border with Belarus. This is a response that follows the requests of the Warsaw Border Guard, which intends in this way to strengthen deterrence measures in the midst of tensions with Minsk, a close ally of Moscow in the war against Ukraine.

It was reported by the Polish news agency "Polska Agencja Prasowa" (Pap). Only last week, the Polish authorities reported the entry of two Belarusian military helicopters into Polish airspace. Following this, yesterday the commander of the Polish border guard, Tomasz Praga, had asked the ministry for the deployment of another thousand soldiers on the border, in addition to the 2,000 already present in the area.
