First commercial flight with passengers of the C-919 narrow-body aircraft manufactured by the Chinese State-owned Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac). The connection (MU-9191) between Shanghai-Hongqiao international airport and the capital Beijing was carried out yesterday, on Sunday May 28, by China Eastern Airlines, with take-off from 10:45am and arrival at 1:10pm.

The Chinese national press agencies and the manufacturer Comac have published a series of photos illustrating the salient phases of this first flight: the water cannon for the aircraft's baptism of air; the on-board staff who serve food and groceries to passengers; the jubilation of travellers proudly displaying their plane ticket.
