EADS TO RESTRAIN NET LOSS IN 2000
AMSTERDAM, EADS, the european aerospace group, posted a 909 million euro net loss for 2000, basically due to hefty currency hedging charges. Operating profits were up 11 percent. core profits were driven by Airbus, in which EADS holds an 80%stake.
