SAAB POSTS 13% DROP IN FIRST HALF OF 2000

STOCKHOLM, Swedish defense and aerospace group Saab AB posted a 13% loss of "pretax" profit for the first half of 2000, despite an increase in sales of 73%. The profits decreased from 721 million danish krones of the same period last year to 629 millions of this one. The volume of sales of the group amounts to 8,34 billion krones.
