500 USDM FROM AMERICAN AIRLINE TO RECOVER TWA

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, U.S. airline American Airlines offered 500 USDm to recover the bankrupcy TWA carrier; according to Donald Carty, of American Airlines, "this is the best offer that TWA and its employees can afford". In the last months, either Continental Airlines and Northwest tried to recover TWA from bankrupcy, but both have come back.
