CARGO MOVEMENTS UP 17.8% AT MALAYSIA AIRPORTS
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd. reported in a statement that its airports handled 17.8% more cargo in 2000 than in 1999. The airports handled a total of 773,891 metric tons of cargo last year and passenger movements rose 11.7% to 32.7 million in 2000. However, aircraft movements dropped 1.1% last year due to lower frequencies and higher space utilization of aircraft .
