QANTAS ORDERS GE ENGINES
SYDNEY, Qantas announced it has selected General Electric to supply engines for seven Airbus A330-200, six A330-300 and six Boeing 747-400 longer-range aircraft. The airlines will be purchasing the aircrafts in the next ten years. Delivery of the engines, CF6-80E1 to power Airbus planes and CF6-80C2 for Boing aircrafts, will commence in 2002.
