Delta recalls 700 employees
Atlanta, USA - In addition to 200 workers already recalled
Delta Airlines plans to recall about 700 maintenance of airplanes employees from mid-December after it recalled 200 furloughed workers over the past few months. The carrier, which last week received a USD 8bn merger offer from US Airways (see AVIONEWS for details), is making a reorganization plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the first half of 2007.
