Firefighting aircraft deploy to Arizona

Mesa, USA – This is the first effect after civil tankers have been grounded

Two Air Force Reserve Command C-130 Hercules aircraft and their crews deployed to Arizona on May the 23rd to prepare for fire season. This new dislocation is due to US government that grounded civil tanker aircraft (see AVIONEWS article). The planes, equipped with the modular airborne firefighting system, are being pre-positioned to augment the Forest Service. The system disperses a liquid fire retardant....
