Ininfluent leak of helium from Soyuz spacecraft
Moscow, Russia – It will not affect the 8th expedition return
A small leak of helium has been discovered on a Soyuz rocket, still docked with ISS (International Space Station), that is due to bring the 8th expedition’s crew back to Earth ( see AVIONEWS article). The leak of helium, which under high pressure directs fuel into an engine that slows the rocket as it re-enters the atmosphere, was yet found three weeks ago and quoted irrelevant.
