Norway donates surface-to-air missiles to Lithuania

Vilnius, Lithuania - They will fill the defensive gap untill Stinger missiles provided by the USA arrive

Due to the lack of national airplanes in order to warrant air space defence and waiting for taking delivery (not before 2006) of FIM-92 Stingers very short range missiles, which will be provided by the United States, Lithuania has received from Norway a pleasing gift to temporarily fill this defensive gap. Oslo's Government would have in fact transfered to Lithuania territory, without any kind of payment...
