Fuel cost increase: Continental Airlines increases fares

Houston, USA - USD 5 one way and USD 10 round trip

Continental Airlines has decided today a USD 5 increase for one-way tickets and USD 10 for round-trip. The reason is the ongoing increase of fuel cost. The carrier's management justify themselves by saying that Continental had been offering the lowest fares since 1994 and such a step was necessary to compensate for the fuel price, which has lately reached peaks never seen before.
