Qatar Airways, the airline managed by the small Gulf state, obtained financing for USD 1bn from 3 banks - Barclays Bank, ABN AMRO and Qatar National Bank - for the purchase of 13 Airbus aircraft. The delivery of new airplanes takes place in view of the launch of 12 new routes.
