China launches a new satellite in collaboration with Esa
Beijing, China - It will study the Earth's magnetic field
This morning a new Chinese satellite, the Explorer I, realized in collaboration with Esa, has been successful launched from the Xichang Satellite Launching Centre. It is the last Chinese success since the first Chinese astronaut recently sent in the space (see AVIONEWS). The satellite, carried by a Long March 2C/SM rocket, will orbit in space for 18 months to study the Earth’s magnetic field.
