Aeroflot to reduce the number of civil airplanes

Moscow, Russia -- The planes are too old and the passengers number too small

At present the total number of long-haul airplanes in Russia is 1,500 and this number may be reduced by several times, Alexander Zubarov, the Chairman of the board of the Aeroflot airlines, announced at a round-table meeting of the Russian Federation Council. The main reason of the reduction is low air traffic: the Russian airlines carry about 27 m passengers a year, that means 3% of the population....
