Florence, Italy - It cost the life of the commander of an Atr 42 belonging to Air Littoral
The airplane, after taking off from Nizza with 14 passengers on board plus three members of the crew, went outside the strip while it was landing at the airport of Florence-Peretola and stopped on the A11 freeway. The incident, in which the plane commander Remy Cuculiere died, happened in July 30th 1997. The reconstructions of the incident showed that it was caused by a concurrence of culpable behaviors...
