Northwest Airlines intends to terminate the leasing agreement with Mesaba Aviation for the 69-passenger Avro RJ-85 jets. However, Mesaba would keep flying 68 of the 30-to 34-passenger Saab SF-340 turbo-prop aircraft leased from Northwest.
