According to the first evaluations reported of the accident was due to a fuel left over in the left engine of an AirTran Airways aircraft. The flames took over during the taxiing phase. Twentyseven passengers and five members of the crew flying out to Philadelphia were obliged to leave the plane using evacuation slides. While disembarking from the aircraft a passenger got injured.
